In the delicate dance between clay and hand, this short film brings to life the transformative process of a ceramicist shaping his world—one pot, cup, and mug at a time. This takes you on a journey into the studio of an artist whose work is about the tactile nature of clay and the work he creates. We captured the rhythm of creation—the graceful movement of fingers against raw clay, the subtle play of light across unfinished surfaces, and the&nbsp; connection between artist and medium. It’s an exploration of texture, form, and imperfection, reflecting the beauty found in both the artistry and the material. The soft hum of the wheel, the click of a well-placed tool, the calming flow of water — grounding the film in the natural world from which Steve draws inspiration. At the heart of this film lies a message about the symbiosis between nature and art. It is a meditation on how nature’s inherent beauty is captured, transformed, and reflected in the handmade. The project, titled Overwhelming, combines strong visual storytelling with social impact, highlighting the resilience and humanity of those forced to leave their homes. About the Campaign Overwhelming is a national campaign designed to raise awareness of the challenges faced by refugees in Ireland — from isolation and language barriers to navigating unfamiliar systems. Supported by the Irish Refugee Council, the campaign uses creative photography, film, and radio to spark empathy and encourage action. This photography commission focused on capturing themes of displacement, uncertainty, and strength — drawing the viewer closer to the emotional reality of the refugee experience. Collaboration with Invention Ireland Working alongside Invention Ireland, this project united disciplines to create a campaign that resonates across print, outdoor, and digital media. The photographs formed a core part of the visual identity — appearing on billboards, social channels, and press materials nationwide. Why This Project Matters This commission reflects the kind of work we're most passionate about: socially engaged photography that tells meaningful stories and drives positive change. Collaboration &amp; Brand Alignment Working closely with the Aperol Spritz team, the content strategy was designed to amplify the event’s atmosphere and extend Aperidisco’s reach beyond the venue. Every clip speaks to Aperol Spritz’s brand identity: summer, social, vibrant, stylish, fun. The video content was optimised for mobile-first viewing—short, snackable, immediately engaging for social scrolls—while preserving visual quality and brand integrity. Through this employee branding photography, we aimed to tell the story of a brand that’s more than just the famous drink —it’s a family, a legacy, and a commitment to excellence. These images are a tribute to the people who continue to make Guinness an enduring symbol of pride, craftsmanship, and creativity in Dublin and beyond. On windswept headlands, farmers worked close to the sea, pulling vegetables from dark soil as gulls circled overhead. Fishing crews hauled nets at first light, the air filled with salt and diesel, the rhythm of work steady against the tide. In kitchens nearby, chefs transformed these ingredients — the hiss of pans, the steam rising, the quiet pride in a finished plate. We moved between wide coastal panoramas and close, tactile details: hands lifting shellfish from crates, droplets on freshly picked greens, the texture of linen and wood on a dining table. Natural light shaped the mood — soft haze in the morning, sudden bursts of sun through cloud, evenings washed in Atlantic gold. The imagery tells a simple, grounded story: food shaped by land and sea, crafted by those who live and work along the edge of Ireland, shared at the table.
